Q 1 The little tiger cub slipped away when his mother was asleep. He soon got into trouble. Tell the class about a similar incident when you did not listen to your parents and found yourself in trouble.

Ans. 1 Once my mother was chopping the vegetables. I was sitting by her side. She went out and told me not to touch the knife. But I didn’t follow her instruction. I took the knife and started to cut the carrot and I cut my finger. I ran into the kitchen to wash my hand. Suddenly, she came back and saw the blood. She put a bandage on the cut and told me not to do it again.

Team time

Make groups. One person from each group should act like:

  1. The mother tiger
  2. The cub
  3. The large male tiger
  4. The frog
  5. The sambhar/Kakar deer
  6. The langur monkey

Now act out the story, first in your own language and then in English.

Note:- Help students to set up the scene. Allocate dialogues among them and place them on their places. Ask them to enact it first in their own language and then change dialogs to English and let them act out. If they make any mistake, keep correcting. After practicing for two-three times they will do it relatively better.
