Q. Would you like to have birds visiting you everyday?

Try making a bird-bath and a feeding corner for birds.

You can place a bowl of water in a quiet corner of the school playground.

Leave bread crumbs, grains etc. for your feathered friends.

Ans. Do this activity with the help of teacher/parents.

Q. Let’ s draw and colour a bird.

Ans. Let the children draw a picture of a bird and colour it.

Activity − Let’s make a bird

Things you need

-Old greeting card

-Dal

-Black bindi/beads for eyes

-Scissors

-Gum

– Old newspaper

-Old shoelace

Steps

Follow the pictures in the question.
  1. Make an outline of the bird on a greeting card and cut it out.
  2. Cut a small square from an old newspaper and fold it to make a fan. Keep the fan closed.
  3. Pass the folded fan through the cut on the bird’s back and now open the folds of the fan.
  4. Make the eye by sticking a bindi.
  5. Paste a string or old shoelace to hang the bird.

Ans. Facilitate the children to accomplish this activity. Keep them under the eye while using sharp tools. Show the final product to the whole class. It can be done in groups of students.

Q. Write down suitable words describing each picture. Pick up the words from the list given below:

Ans. Ask children to say these words aloud and you may ask them to form sentences out of these words.
