Q 1. When do children go to school in Topsy-turvy Land?

Ans. 1 The children go to school at night in the topsy-turvy land.

Q 2. In the poem, if buses travel on the sea, then where do the boats travel? How should it rightly be?

Ans. 2 Boats travel in the streets in Topsy-turvy land. Buses should run on roads and boats on the sea.

Q 3. The Topsy-Turvy land is very different from our land. Let’s draw a comparison by filling in sentences wherever needed.

Ans. 2     One day, I got up early in the morning. Came out, and saw the birds were walking, and animal flying. Trees were laying on the ground and bushes riding trees. My mother was swimming on the floor, and father walking on the walls. Our pet dog Jimmy was calling me to play. Suddenly, I got up, oh! It was a dream.

Q 3. Two stories got mixed up. Sort them out and write them in the appropriate boxes.
  • We thought the lion had eaten someone.
  • Suddenly the kite lifted him off the ground and took him over the treetops.
  • He saw a shoe in the lion’s cage.
  • Finally, the kite brought him back to the park.

The Magic Kite Who Did the Lion Eat?
Puran was flying the brand new kite in the park. Our class had gone to the zoo.
Suddenly the kite lifted him off the ground and took him over the treetops. He saw a shoe in the lion’s cage.
Puran was frightened and excited. We thought the lion had eaten someone.
Finally, the kite brought him back to the park. Some children stood and screamed, and some ran to the Director of the zoo.
